Trump’s ego on full display on his $1 coin

Trump is back at it with more norm breaking offenses.

Donald Trump has never shied away from drastic action. Apparently “making America great again” has meant bombing drug boats, shutting down school funding, stripping power from regulatory agencies and sending ICE on a rampage in American cities.

His first term was already a parade of lawlessness from tampering with federal elections to hoarding classified documents to hiding hush money payments to a porn star and his second term is diving in with even greater gusto.

According to Legal Eagle, On Trump’s first day in his second term, he already started building a border wall without any approval from Congress, he ended parole programs that allowed immigrants into the US under different circumstances again without any approval, and so much more. The creator counts 200 illegal acts so far this year.

President Trump’s latest controversy is his administration attempting to put his face on a $1 coin to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, despite the fact that the law states that “Only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities.”

This is a divisive choice to say the least.

The coin’s design features a profile of Trump’s face on one side and on the other, an image of him in front of an American flag holding his fist up with the words “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT” above him.

“I’m not sure if he’s seen it, but I’m sure he’ll love it,” said Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary.

Beth Deisher, former Coin World editor, stated that the coins design tells her “They don’t know anything about coinage.”

The fact that Trump wants to be on a coin is a small representation of how huge his ego is. He surrounds himself with people who are willing to declare, loudly and often, whatever sycophantic claptrap might make the narcissist-in-chief happy, while shielding him uncomfortable truths, like his plummeting approval ratings. Trumps ignorance is a big part of what fuels his actions.

Supporters of Trump claim that he’s been helping the US since he’s been in office, but there is clear evidence he hasn’t. The cost of healthcare has boomed, making it much more difficult for most to get it other than the rich, as there are much more costs of living that are going up in price as well which is making living hard to afford, he cut school funding, specifically six billion dollars saying they needed to wonder if the budget was being misused, and he allegedly bombed multiple Venezuelan drug boat, killing over 70. He claimed the bombing was “an act of kindness” as every boat that is bombed saves thousands of American lives.

Keep in mind, Trump actually wants us to believe that he is making America better.

It’s no wonder that he “loves the poorly educated.”

The Trump coin will no doubt go down in history as an especially noteworthy piece of American currency.

Just what it will be taken to symbolize is not quite as clear.
