NFL Crystal Ball: The Packers don’t have a chance against the Steelers this Sunday

The top game of week 12 is the Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers. I’m calling the game for the Pittsburgh Steelers.  

The Packers have been struggling recently. They lost their all-star quarterback Aaron Rodgers to an injury. Without him the team has 5 wins and 4 losses. Green Bay is 3rd in the NFC North where their passing and running game hasn’t been doing too well. They are ranked 20th in both passing and running offence.

The weakest part of the Green Bay Packers is their offence. Without Aaron Rodgers they haven’t been able to get the offence going. The backup quarterback is Brett Hundley. He is benefiting from Aaron’s mentoring and training but the Green Bay offence is going to struggle in getting yards against Pittsburgh’s defence.

The Packers needs to start giving the ball more to Aaron Jones, the rookie running back. He was a 5th-round draft pick and he is really good, is averaging 5 yards per game. At 5 foot 9, teams at the draft thought he was too small and not strong enough to play in this league but he has proven that he can play at the NFL level. He knows how to switch his running play and turn it into something big. Since he is so small, he can change the play to an inside run, or if he sees the defence reading that, he goes to the outside and burns the defenders with his speed. They should use him more because the passing game is not going well and this strategy might be able to counter the Steelers’ running defence.

Key wide receivers on the Green Bay Packers that the Pittsburgh Steelers defence should watch are Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison. They should trust the rookie Geronimo Allison because Pittsburgh knows Nelson and Cobb are two good wide receivers. When they put their two good cornerbacks on them, they will create an opportunity for Allison. But I wouldn’t trust the Packers’ passing game so the Steelers should be able to stop them.

The Packers’ defence is a young but doing decently. They are ranked 20th in passing and running defence. It is their defence that is saving the Packers from losing every game.  

Still, the Packers are going to have a hard time stopping the Pittsburgh offence because they have an all-star running back, an all-star quarterback and two all-star wide receivers. They have to watch Antonio Brown. He is one of the best wide receivers in the game. It will be hard to guard him. Key players the Steelers should look out for are Clay Matthews, Damarious Randall and Clinton-Dix. Damarious Randall is on a roll. He has gotten three interceptions in the past three games and Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers’ quarterback, better watch out for him. I don’t think the Packers’ defence will keep up with the Steelers’ offence. The Steelers know when to run, when to pass and they have good players for that. But the Packers have a young defence that is still learning.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offence is one of the best in the NFL. They are top 10 in both passing and running offence. They have 8 wins and 2 losses which puts them 1st in the AFC North division.

The Steelers have an all-star offence. Top players on the Steelers are Antonio Brown, Le’veon Bell and Ben Roethlisberger. Antonio Brown is the best wide receiver in the NFL. He is averaging 15 yards per catch. The Packers are going to try to lock him down but I don’t think they will succeed. He is fast and has great catching skills. Le’veon Bell is an elite running back. When the Steelers need to pick up a few yards he the guy to go to. Ben Roethlisber is an older but still decent quarterback. He is 35 years old. He has 10 interceptions which is really bad and he has been overthrowing and under-throwing the ball which can caused the Steelers offence. I just don’t think the Packers can stop the Steelers’ offence.

The Steelers’ defence includes both young and veteran players. They are one of the best defences and are ranked top 5.The Steelers are second in letting their opponents score. The teams they play average only 16 points against them. The Steelers have veterans on the team to help these young defence players. Top players that the Green Bay Packers should watch for are Bud Dupree, Vince Williams, Sean Davis and Mike Hilton. This young team is a really good passing defence. They know where the ball is going they are fast to the ball. A young team means that they are still learning and they will only get better. The veterans on the team helping them is good too.

The Steelers are going to win on Sunday because they are a young and up-and-coming team with a lot to prove, while the Packers’ Brett Hundley is going to have a hard time trying to make a pass to his wide receivers. The Steelers already won against the Titans which are a really good team. I don’t think the Packers really have a chance.
