Almost 5 years since his last album, Justin Bieber is finally back in the studio. Bieber has announced that his new album is on the way. At the same time, he has spoken up about a diagnosis he’s been hiding from the public.
In a teaser video dropped on December 24th, he explains the rttelease of a new single that has since dropped, and, still on their way in 2020, a 5th studio album, a nationwide tour, and a YouTube docu-series.
The 25-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter has not released a solo studio album since 2015’s “Purpose.” Throughout 2019, Bieber has been featured on a couple singles such as Ed Sheeran’s “I Don’t Care, Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” remix and Dan + Shay’s “10,000 Hours,” but is yet to find as much success as he did with Purpose.
He has seen much success throughout his 11-year-long career, but has also been faced with many ups and downs. Bieber has shown in his new trailer that he is well aware that Gods shows a great importance in his life and has led him to where he is now.
“I’m right where I’m supposed to be and God has me right where he wants me”.
His newly released single dropped January 3rd titled, Yummy. The upbeat catchy single touches on his loyalty to his newly wed wife, Hailey Baldwin.
Along with his new single, Bieber has already released the dates for his upcoming tour this year. He will be travelling throughout North America but is yet to announce any international dates.
His docu-series titled “Seasons” is set to be released January 27, and will be available to stream on YouTube, which comes full circle considering his jumpstart to fame started on YouTube.
His fifth studio album has no official name yet, however fans have raised speculations due to his new “forever” tattoo he displayed on his instagram recently. The album is speculated to be released during his birthday month of March.
Besides the comeback news, Bieber has also gone public with how he has been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and has also been battling chronic mono for the past couple of years. Lyme disease is an infection caused by bacteria usually carried by ticks affects roughly 300,000 Americans each year.
“While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like shi*, on meth etc. they failed to realize I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease,” Bieber wrote on an instagram post. “Not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”
In his caption, he also explained how his upcoming docuseries would further address how his life has been since receiving the diagnosis.
“We all have different stories, I’m just excited to share mine,” Bieber said in the teaser video. “It’s the music that I’ve loved the most out of anything I’ve done.” Considering everything he has been through growing up in the spotlight along with his current struggles he’s facing, the public and his fans are expecting this new era of Bieber to be something new, refreshing and one of his best ones yet.
