The Tesla Roadster is now the world’s quickest supercar

On November 16th, during the release of the new Tesla semi truck, Tesla also released a new electric supercar, which also happens to be Tesla’s fastest car yet, the Tesla Roadster 2020. The Tesla Roadster is not only the newest and most modern electric car, but it’s also Tesla’s first supercar. The Tesla Roadster is currently the fastest production car to go from 0 – 60mph and to complete a quarter mile. It features a never-before-seen interior, performance, range, acceleration and many more extravagant features.

In 2008, Tesla came out with their very first car, the Tesla Roadster. The original was capable of reaching 0 – 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and had a range of 244 miles. It was discontinued in 2012 but fast forward five years and the Roadster has made a comeback. The brand new Tesla Roadster 2020 crushes the original Roadster on every level.

The Tesla Roadster 2020 can accelerate to 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds and 0-100 mph in 4.2 seconds. It has also set a new world record for production cars completing a quarter mile, with a time of 8.8 seconds. Before the Tesla Roadster, the Porsche 918 Spyder was the fastest production car to go 0-60 mph. The Roadster 2020 is also the first time a production car has broken 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds and the first car to break a quarter mile in under 9 seconds. The Roadster features three motors with 10,000 Nm of wheel torque and has a 200 kWh battery which is capable of going 620 miles at highway speed. It will also be able to exceed 250 mph, but an exact top speed has not yet been released.

Unfortunately, Tesla’s cars come with a heavy price tag. They are some of the highest end cars while also being run on electricity. If you were to purchase the base model of the Roadster, it would cost you $200,000 USD, and requires a $50,000 USD reservation fee on top of the initial price. At these prices, for most people the Roadster is a fantasy and not a reality. But if acquiring $250,000 USD is not an issue for you, than the Tesla Roadster can be yours in 2020. The Tesla Roadster coming at a fraction of the price of most supercars can still can beat the Ferrari 812 Superfast, McLaren 720S, and Lamborghini Aventador S in 0-60 mph, top speed, and the. Even the $1.5 million Mclaren P1 cannot match the Roadsters 0-60 mph acceleration. The Tesla Roadster 2020 is one of the cheapest supercars out there, additionally it will cost only a fraction of what it’s competition will charge you for their cars that cannot even beat the Roadster’s outstanding performance.

Although Tesla is only currently selling three models of the cars and does not have a single Tesla dealership, they are still competing in the automobile industry. Tesla is smaller than most car brands but they have the brightest future. Electric cars are everywhere now and Tesla is one of the reasons why. When Tesla released their first car in 2008 it was one of the first electric cars, and it kickstarted the electric car market. Many other car companies have followed, and now almost every car company has at least one electric car model. There are still many more gas-powered cars then electric-powered cars on the road today but Tesla is preparing for the future when nearly all cars will be electric.

Unfortunately, there is just over two years until the Tesla Roadster 2020 will be available. By 2020, the Roadsters performance might not be as impressive, as other companies might have released new cars that match or surpass it’s performance.
